Tim Henman: 'Andy Murray in form of his life heading into Wimbledon'

Tim Henmann claims that British number one Andy Murray is playing "the best and most consistent" tennis of his career at this moment in time.

Former British number one Tim Henman has said that he believes Andy Murray's game has transformed drastically over the past seven months.

The 28-year-old is among the favourites to succeed at Wimbledon this year, which comes hot on the heels of his triumph at the Aegon Championships last week.

Murray has already won three titles this calendar year, with Henman claiming that the Scotsman is currently in the form of his life ahead of his opening-round clash against Mikhail Kukushkin.

"At the O2 in November I thought Andy's game lacked identity but fast forward six months and he is playing the best and most consistent tennis I've seen in his career," he told BBC Sport. "His coaches Amelie Mauresmo and Jonas Bjorkman deserve credit."

Murray crashed out of the Grand Slam event at the quarter-final stage last year, 12 months after going all the way and winning it for the first time.
