Kirsten Flipkens describes her emotions at reaching the last four at Wimbledon as "more than a dream coming true" after beating 2011 champion Petra Kvitova.

Kirsten Flipkens has admitted that reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon is more than "a dream coming true" for her.

The Belgian beat 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in the last eight in three sets, to advance to her first final-four appearance in a Grand Slam.

"It's amazing, more than a dream coming true," Flipkens told BBC Sport. "Semi-finals of a Grand Slam, ridiculous. Last year I didn't get into qualifying of Wimbledon."

Flipkens will take on France's 15th seed Marion Bartoli in the semi-finals.
