Nicolas Almagro, Nicolas Mahut games suspended

Nicolas Almagro and Nicolas Mahut are forced to wait overnight to complete their first-round Wimbledon matches after bad light suspended play on Monday evening.

Twelfth-seed Nicolas Almagro will complete his first round match at Wimbledon on Tuesday after his encounter with Olivier Rochus was suspended due to bad light.

Spaniard Almagro went two sets down against his Belgian opponent but fought back to level at [4]6-7 3-6 7-6[4] 6-2 before close on Monday evening.

He will have the chance to finish his comeback tomorrow, as will Nicolas Mahut, whose contest with Paolo Lorenzi was also delayed overnight.

Mahut, who was involved in the longest match in tennis history at Wimbledon 2009, levelled the scores against Lorenzi shortly before the suspension after he had fallen two-sets-to-one behind.
