US Open women's final to be played Sunday

US Open women's final postponed

The women's US Open final between Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams has been postponed until Sunday due to bad weather in New York, organisers have announced.

The match was due to be played on Saturday evening before thunderstorms disrupted the schedule at Flushing Meadows.

Further bad weather has now been forecast, causing officials to put the final back.

Andy Murray's semi-final against Tomas Berdych was delayed by over an hour on Saturday as a tornado warning was issued in the Big Apple.

It has yet to be announced when the women's final will start on Sunday.
