Federer: "I think I'm playing my best"

Roger Federer has claimed that he is performing at his highest level following Thursday's quarter-final win over John Isner at the Olympics.

The world number one sealed a spot in the medal matches thanks to a straight-sets victory against the American 10th seed on Centre Court.

"I think I'm playing my best. I don't know if you can play a whole lot better," Federer told reporters.

"Overall I'm extremely happy. Obviously being in the medal matches, at least I'll get two shots.

"That's why I looked at this match as a final. You can imagine the relief and happiness I feel right now."

The Wimbledon champion will meet Argentina's eighth seed Juan Martin del Potro on Friday for a place in Sunday's final.
