Olympics 2024: Every gold medallist from Paris including Biles, Marchand and Lyles

Olympics 2024 medals: Every gold medal won during the Paris Games

The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris saw 329 gold medals awarded across 32 different sports, as lifetimes of hard work, dedication and dreams came to fruition throughout the two-and-a-half-week sporting spectacular in the French capital.

China claimed the distinction of winning the first of those golds in shooting on day one, and they went on to stand on the top step of the podium on 40 occasions - a joint-high alongside USA.

USA's superior overall medal count saw them top the table, while Japan's tally of 20 golds saw them finish third with Australia in fourth on 18.

Host nation France enjoyed a memorable Games too, with superstar Leon Marchand leading the way by claiming a quarter of his country's 16 gold medals all by himself - the most of any athlete in Paris.

Great Britain, meanwhile, made their best-ever start to an Olympics, but their gold rush slowed in the final week as they finished seventh in the medal table with 14 to their name - although their overall tally surpassed that of Tokyo.

In total, 64 nations won at least one gold medal during the Games, including a first-ever time atop the podium for Botswana, Dominica, Guatemala and Saint Lucia.

Here, at the end of an unforgettable festival of sport, Sports Mole rounds up every gold medal that was won during the 2024 Olympics, country by country.
