Tommy Robredo through to third round as Andrey Golubev struggles with break points

Tommy Robredo has beaten Andrey Golubev 6-4 [5]6-7 6-4 in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Robredo took advantage of the only break point of the first set in game seven to take the opener.

The second set went entirely to serve as Golubev lost two break points in game four.

Golubev took it in the tie-break though, clinching the set point at the third time of asking.

The Kazakhstan number one failed again with three break points in the final set, as Robredo broke serve in the final game to set up a third-round match against Grigor Dimitrov.
