Murray rues costly mistakes in defeat

Andy Murray has conceded that he was not good enough in his defeat to Stanislas Wawrinka at the ATP World Tour Finals.

The Scot was eliminated from the competition following his loss in straight sets to the 30-year-old as he was made to rue costly mistakes throughout the contest, including allowing a 4-2 lead to slip in a first-set tie-breaker at the O2 Arena.

Murray told Sky Sports News: "The first set tie-break was important, but there are lots of points that go into the outcome. The reality is that I did not play well enough.

"There were cheap errors on big points and I only have myself to blame."

Murray will next be in action for Great Britain in the 2015 Davis Cup Final next week.
