Wakefield Trinity Wildcats sign Leeds Rhinos prop Andy Yates

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats confirm that prop Andy Yates has joined the club from Leeds Rhinos on an 18-month deal.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have confirmed the signing of prop Andy Yates from Leeds Rhinos on an 18-month deal.

The 25-year-old joined Leeds in 2013, but he has recently struggled for first-team action due to injury problems.

Yates made his Super League debut for St Helens back in 2008.

"I'd like to welcome Andy to the club," chairman Michael Carter told Wakefield's official website. "I am delighted to have signed him on an 18-month contract and I would like to thank Gary Hetherington and Leeds Rhinos for making the move possible."

Wakefield are back in Super League action on Sunday when they host Huddersfield Giants.
