Wakefield Trinity Wildcats come from behind to stun Hull FC

Hull FC let a 16-point lead slip to hand Wakefield Trinity Wildcats a 26-16 win in Super League.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats overturned a 16-point deficit to claim a 26-16 win over Hull FC in Super League this evening.

The visitors dominated the opening 10 minutes as they looked to avoid a third straight defeat in the league, resulting in tries for Kirk Yeaman and Liam Watts.

Jordan Rankin added a third with less than 20 minutes as Hull appeared to be in complete control, but the home side started to see more of the ball before the break, allowing Jacob Miller to get Wakefield off the mark shortly before the interval.

The Wildcats continued their fightback after the break as Richard Owen went over in the corner, before Joe Arundel levelled the scores with 20 minutes still to play.

Miller put Wakefield ahead for the first time as they continued to dominate possession in the second half, kicking a penalty, before a Matty Ryan try in the final 10 minutes sealed the victory.
