Widnes Vikings have kick-started their Super League campaign in style by demolishing London Broncos 64-10 in Cheshire this afternoon.
Kevin Brown bagged a hat-trick in the rout of the capital-based club to give Dennis Betts's men their first points of the new season.
Leeds Rhinos also opened their account at the first time of asking by cruising to a 34-6 win away to Hull KR.
Tom Briscoe touched down on three occasions, with Joel Moon, Danny McGuire and Kallum Watkins also contributing to the rout.
Meanwhile, Castleford Tigers enjoyed a 36-18 success away to Bradford Bulls.
Both outfits found their stride having gone into the interval level on six points apiece, but the visitors pulled away in the second half, with Daryl Clark, Justin Carney and Grant Millington among those to add four-point scores for their team.
Elsewhere, Salford Red Devils survived a spirited fightback from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to earn a 18-14 victory.
Brian Noble's men secured their points all in the first half, with Gareth Hock, Harrison Hansen and Andrew Dixon crossing for the hosts.
However, the Wildcats mounted a comeback in the second half, as tries from Matt Ryan, Pita Godinet and Ali Lauitiiti salvaged some pride for the visitors, but the hosts held on for the victory.
