Smith signs new Wakefield deal

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats stand-off Tim Smith has signed a new two-year deal with the Super League club.

The 27-year-old Australian will now be at Belle Vue until 2014 following his move from Cronulla Sharks in December last year.

"I am really happy and it's all about security signing for an extra year," he said. "We had a successful season and the club is certainly going somewhere and I really am happy here."

Smith was voted the Wildcats' player of the season after helping the side reach the Super League playoffs.
