Manchester City's Etihad Stadium will be confirmed as the host of rugby league's Magic Weekend in 2012, according to BBC Radio Manchester.
The Magic Weekend, previously Millennium Magic, is a concept introduced by the Rugby Football League to stage an entire round of Super League matches at one venue.
It has previously been held at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and Edinburgh's Murrayfield.
The Etihad was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games before City took over the tenancy.
