Hull Kingston Rovers coach Chris Chester sets sights on Challenge Cup glory

Hull Kingston Rovers coach Chris Chester has urged his players to go on and win the Challenge Cup following their semi-final win over Warrington Wolves.

On Saturday, the Robins reached the final of the competition for the first time since 1986 thanks to a 26-18 triumph at Headingley Carnegie.

With holders Leeds Rhinos now standing between them and the trophy, Chester has claimed that there is no reason why his team can not be crowned champions.

"I'm really proud of the boys' efforts, especially towards the end," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It was backs to the wall but they found a way to win.

"People have written us off all year but there is still a lot of confidence and belief in this group and we now want to go one further.

"I got a bit emotional in the dressing room, it means a lot to a lot of people. [Leeds are] the best team in the competition but we've proved in one-off games this year we can beat anybody."

Hull KR continue their Super League campaign on August 8 when they face Leigh Centurions in the Super 8s.
