Justin Thomas says that any players who wish to play in the LIV Golf International Series should back up their words and "just go", leaving the PGA Tour in the process.

Justin Thomas has suggested that he has grown tired of speculation regarding the LIV Golf International Series, calling on any want-away players to be decisive with their decisions.

The new competition, which has Saudi Arabian backing and is led by Greg Norman, is due to commence next month with a tournament at the Centurion Golf Club in Hertfordshire, England.

However, players wishing to participate have had their requests to play formally denied by the PGA Tour, the argument being that the first event is in direct conflict with the Canadian Open which is being played on the same week.

The ball is now effectively in the court of the players who wish to be a part of the new event, and Thomas has called on those in question to make a call on their future.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the AT&T Byron Nelson, the American said: "You know, it's like, look, if you want to go, go.

"I mean there's been plenty of guys that have been advocates of it and have just talked it up all the time and they have been guys behind the scenes that are saying, I'm going, I'm doing this.' And like my whole thing is, like just go then.

"Everybody's entitled to do what they want, you know what I mean? Like if I wanted to go play that tour I could go play that tour. But I'm loyal to the PGA Tour."

Sergio Garcia and Lee Westwood are known to be among the players who want to feature in the opening LIV Series tournament.
