Lewis Hamilton "really excited" ahead of Brazilian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton admits that he is "really excited" ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix in Rio de Janeiro.

Lewis Hamilton has said that he is "really excited" for the Brazilian Grand Prix, despite qualifying second for the race behind his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.

Hamilton currently tops the Drivers' Championship and a sixth straight victory in Rio de Janeiro will edge him closer to his second title.

"It's generally been a good weekend," Hamilton told BBC Sport. "I've been very happy with the performance. Nico has been very quick. I've just been chipping away at it.

"Qualifying was quite close. There are some potential issues I have to sit with the engineers and try to understand what they are but generally for the race it should all be fine.

"We've got no problems and the car has been great all weekend. I'm really excited. Even though we're starting second, qualifying was really good fun and I'm looking forward to having a fight at least."

Hamilton's only Drivers' Championship win came back in 2008, when he was racing for McLaren.
