Dennis: 'Honda reliability a challenge'

McLaren supremo Ron Dennis has praised the performance of Honda's engines, but has suggested that the Japanese manufacturer faces a challenge to make their power units reliable before the start of the season.

The Woking-based outfit announced that it would be working with Honda from 2015, resuming a partnership that yielded several constructors' and drivers' titles in the 1980s and 1990s.

While the 67-year-old praised the performance so far, he hinted at possible obstacles to overcome before the Australian Grand Prix in March next year.

Dennis is quoted by ESPN F1: "The challenge for our partner Honda is hitting dates and reliability. The performance is pretty impressive, but of course I can't share that with you."

McLaren finished fifth in the constructors' championship during the 2014 season.
