Wolverhampton Wanderers could extend Danny Graham loan

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett says that the club might look to extend the loan stay of Sunderland striker Danny Graham.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has admitted that the club might extend the loan of Sunderland striker Danny Graham.

The 29-year-old moved to Molineux in November on a short-term loan deal, which is due to expire on December 31.

Jackett's attacking options will be reduced in January when Nouha Dicko and Bakary Sako travel to the Africa Cup of Nations to represent Mali, with the duo potentially missing up to five matches.

"It's still to be decided, we have two games left. I have been pleased with Danny. He has added some experience to our frontline and has been unlucky not to score more goals," Jackett told the Birmingham Mail.

"The more games he plays the more he will improve. He has given us another option and we need options up front. Danny and Rajiv van La Parra have helped us – especially in the absence of Dicko.

"We want Dicko back and we need more centre-forwards options, as many as we can, particularly if we stay 4-4-2. To have three forwards on the bench to turn the game is something we need. It's something most Championship clubs have, Danny comes into it."

Graham has scored one goal in five starts for Wolves.
