Wolverhampton Wanderers close to signing Danish goalkeeper Andreas Sondergaard?

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly lined up a deal for young Danish goalkeeper Andreas Sondergaard.

The Championship leaders are well stocked between the sticks, with John Ruddy, Will Norris, Harry Burgoyne and Carl Ikeme - who is currently unavailable through illness - all on the books at Molineux.

However, according to the Birmingham Mail, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is already looking to the future and has moved to complete the signing of Sondergaard.

The 17-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for Odense, but his performances in the youth setup have led to interest from both England and Italy.

Wolves appear to have won the race for the teenager's signature, however, with an offer of £400,000 allegedly being enough to complete a deal before the end of the month.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Wolves had opted against making a high-profile signing during the January transfer window.
