Wolverhampton Wanderers 'target' Austria Vienna's Georg Margreitter

Wolves 'close in' on Margreitter

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly targeted Austria Vienna defender Georg Margreitter following the departures of Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis.

Fletcher and Jarvis are expected to finalise their respective moves to Sunderland and West Ham United today as Wolves prepare to spend the £24m received from the pair on new players.

It is understood that Margreitter arrived in England yesterday with his agent to discuss a potential move to Molineux in what is believed to be a £2m transfer, according to the Shropshire Star.

The 23-year-old centre-back has one year left on his contract with Austria Vienna.
