Wolves are expected to name former FC Copenhagen and Cologne coach Stale Solbakken as their new manager next week.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are expected to name Stale Solbakken as their new manager next week.

The 44-year-old Dane is believed to have held talks with the recently-relegated Midlands club on Thursday over the position.

Despite winning five Danish league titles with FC Copenhagen, Solbakken was sacked as manager of Bundesliga side Cologne last month due to the team's poor form.

Terry Connor took charge of Wolves on an interim basis in February following the sacking of Mick McCarthy.
