Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders stresses the importance of tonight's match against relegation rivals Barnsley.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has told his players that they cannot afford to lose against Barnsley this evening.

Defeat against the Tykes at Oakwell will see Saunders's team slip into the Championship's relegation zone.

With that in mind, Saunders has expressed his desperation for his side to take all three points against their fellow strugglers.

"It is a six-pointer. Saturday's wasn't and neither is Sunday against Cardiff, or the next one – but this is," he is quoted as saying by the Express & Star. "It's the most important out of the four and we need some wins so we are not scrambling at the end.

"Ideally you keep the teams below you below you and then you can do them some damage."

Wolves head into the match 21st in the table.
