Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo: 'Norwich City equaliser felt like a punch'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo says that Norwich City's last-gasp equaliser at Molineux "felt like a punch".

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has said that he experienced "a moment of sadness" after witnessing Norwich City score a last-gasp equaliser against his side on Wednesday night.

The Championship leaders established a two-goal lead after 25 minutes, but Nelson Oliveira's 30-yard strike in the third minute of added-on time completed an excellent comeback from the Canaries.

Wolves hold a nine-point advantage at the top of the standings, but Nuno has suggested that he had been left disappointed by his side's "decision-making" at Molineux.

The 44-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "It's a moment of sadness, it feels like a punch, and then the final whistle tells you you don't have time left and you lost something you almost had. Until the end you have to maintain focus. Let's keep on doing better.

I think the first half was good and we were in control, creating chances and goal. We were totally upset because a set piece puts Norwich back in the game. We can learn what was required in that moment, the decision making."

Wolves are next in action when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday evening.
