Jez Moxey: 'It will be tough to replace Steve Morgan at Wolves'

Jez Moxey admits that finding the right man to replace Steve Morgan as Wolverhampton Wanderers owner will be an "enormous challenge".

Wolverhampton Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey has admitted that it will be difficult to find an appropriate buyer for the club.

Earlier this week chairman and owner Steve Morgan put the Championship side up for sale after eight years at the helm.

Moxey held a press conference today and although he admitted finding a new owner would be difficult, he insisted that it was of "paramount importance" to find the right person.

"Finding someone as good as Steve will be an enormous challenge," Moxey told reporters. "We will do it in a private and professional manner.

"Steve Morgan's reputation is important to him and so is his legacy. It will be of paramount importance to sell to the right person."

Moxey also said that buying Wolves should be an appealing prospect because of how the club has been run under Morgan.

"Wolves is a very clean football club and it's a simple transaction for whoever wants to come in and buy the club," Moxey added.

Moxey is in charge of the day-to-day running of Wolves while the search for a new owner is handled.
