Kenny Jackett: "There is no magic wand"

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett declares that there is "no magic wand" after the side extended their winless league run to six games.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has declared that there is "no magic wand" as he looks to arrest the club's slump in form.

A 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town on Saturday left the Midlands side without a win in six Championship games and all but ended their hopes of making the playoffs this season.

"There's no magic wand," Jackett told the Wolves website afterwards. "We did lose and that's the bottom line, but the players showed good effort and commitment.

"We'll work hard. If they show that type of effort and spirit they'll be on the right lines. We have to keep working away at it. Of course you always want to be winning games. We've lost and that's the bottom line.

"Results are the big thing and the bottom line and we didn't get one after a tight game so we are not happy with that. There are also circumstances, and effort and commitment from the players, and certain things we have to back."

Jackett's charges visit fellow mid-table side Brentford in the round of midweek Championship fixtures on Tuesday.
