Henry apologises to Wolves fans

Karl Henry has apologised to Wolverhampton Wanderers fans following his sending-off during Saturday's 3-2 defeat at home to Aston Villa.

The midfielder was dismissed in the second half for kicking out at Villa winger Marc Albrighton.

Manager Mick McCarthy described the red card as "stupid" after the match at Molineux.

"Ultimately it has cost us," said Henry. "We weren't in front at the time but were level and I left us with ten men for the final 15 minutes which saw them go on and get the winning goal. I have cost us.

"I have apologised to the manager and the rest of the lads and would like to apologise to the fans as well because it was really poor. It's going to be a long month now for me without being able to play for three games."

Wolves are currently 19th in the Premier League table.
