Wolverhampton Wanderers begin League One season at Preston North End

Wolverhampton Wanderers will begin their new season in League One with an away trip to Preston North End as the 2013-14 fixtures are announced.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett will have his first test with the club in their opening League One fixture against Preston North End.

Along with Wolves, Bradford City will begin the new campaign with an away trip when they take on Bristol City on August 3 following the announcement of the 2013-14 fixtures.

Newly-promoted side Gillingham will start their campaign with a home clash against Colchester United, while Brentford, who lost in last season's playoff final will take on new boys Port Vale.

Rotherham United will go up against Crewe Alexandra, while Coventry City are due to take on Crawley Town away. Sheffield United, who will be led by new manager David Weir, face a home match against Notts County.
