Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako has revealed that he is yet to make a decision as to whether or not he will represent Mali at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Under FIFA guidelines, the 24-year-old qualifies to play with either Mail or the French national team.
The African nation are keen for Sako to commit to them in time for the tournament, which gets underway in January.
However, the attacker has hinted that he could be tempted to pledge his allegiance to France, should they show an interest in his services.
"I don't know at the moment. It's a very difficult decision. They want me to go with them and we'll see about it in time. At the moment I'm not sure," he told the Express & Star. "I've played for France at Under-21 level but I've never played for Mali before, even though both my parents are from Mali.
"I speak Malian too but I'll wait to make my choice. I don't know if there's a deadline I have to decide by, but I don't know if I'm going to play for France or Mali."
Sako has scored five goals for Wolves so far this season.
