Wolfsburg defender Dante clears up rumours he wants to join Chelsea

Wolfsburg defender Dante has cleared up the confusion surrounding recent speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea.

Some media outlets attributed quotes to the 32-year-old, who was thought to have said that it would be a "dream" to sign for the English champions.

However, there was a case of mistaken identity as the comments were actually made by Abdoul Dante, who recently helped Mali reach the final of the Under-17s World Cup.

"It's been difficult and confusing for me," the Daily Mail quotes Dante as saying. "I couldn't understand why people were calling me and asking about Chelsea.

"I only left Bayern [Munich] in the summer. I've got a three-year contract with Wolfsburg so I've nothing to look for. I don't know the other Dante but it's his dream, not mine!"
