Roberto Martinez: It's unhealthy to discuss Victor Moses's future

Martinez wants Moses to stay put

Roberto Martinez is eager to keep hold of Wigan Athletic winger Victor Moses after the player's representatives hinted at a move away from the DW Stadium.

The 21-year-old's agent Tony Finnigan claimed yesterday that the Nigerian is considering a summer exit after rejecting a new Latics offer.

"In the future, if he does the things that he has to do, he will be a top, top player," said Martinez. "But I don't think it is healthy to start talking about his possibilities and his future.

"I think Victor knows it and he is well aware to fulfil his potential he needs to work harder from now until the next 16 or 18 months."

Moses moved to the North West club from Crystal Palace in 2010.
