Hugo Rodallega, Shaun Maloney nearing Wigan Athletic returns

Roberto Martinez may be able to call on Hugo Rodellega and Shaun Maloney for Wigan's game with Fulham as the pair near full fitness.

Roberto Martinez has revealed that forwards Hugo Rodallega and Shaun Maloney could be fit to feature for Wigan Atheltic against Fulham this weekend.

The Latics travel to Craven Cottage on Saturday on the back of consecutive victories over Manchester United and Arsenal, whom they beat 1-0 and 2-1 respectively.

With confidence in the camp already high, Martinez could be given another boost with the return of two of his most dangerous attackers.

"With Hugo we are getting closer. It is too early to tell if he is going to be ready for Saturday but he is progressing really well," said Martinez.

"It is similar for Shaun Maloney, who is 50-50 for the weekend. I hope he is going to be able to join the group on Friday and we will see how he develops from there."

Wigan are currently five points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
