Dave Whelan clears air with Roberto Martinez

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has reportedly met with boss Roberto Martinez to clear the air after his rant at the weekend.

Whelan questioned Martinez's selection following their 2-0 loss to Swansea City on Saturday, but the issue has been resolved, according to the Daily Express.

Martinez signed a new deal with the Latics in the summer after turning down the managerial job at Aston Villa.

Wigan face Norwich City in the Premier League on Sunday.
