Half-Time Report: Wigan Athletic, Millwall goalless at the break

Wigan Athletic and Millwall played out a goalless first half at the DW Stadium in the Championship this evening.

The windy conditions haven't helped, but neither side carved out anything in the way of clear-cut chances in the first period.

Adam Forshaw has looked lively throughout the opening 45 minutes, and the midfielder went close for the Latics on 19 minutes when his long-range effort flew just wide of the post.

The home side had the better of proceedings, but the Lions defended well throughout and restricted their hosts to few chances, despite a number of good deliveries from James Tavernier from set pieces.
