Team News: Nick Powell starts for Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle has handed a starting place to Nick Powell for this evening's Europa League clash against Zulte Waregem.

The on-loan Manchester United midfielder will be joined in the side by fellow summer recruits James McClean, Ryan Shotton and James Perch.

Jordi Gomez will lead the line as a lone striker, while Powell and McClean will start in a midfield that also includes Chris McCann, James McArthur and Callum McManaman.

Perch, Shotton, Emmerson Boyce and Stephen Crainey make up the Latics' defence. Scott Carson starts in goal as Wigan get their first ever European campaign underway in Belgium.
