West Ham United's Sean Maguire joins Accrington Stanley on loan

Accrington Stanley have announced that West Ham United striker Sean Maguire has joined the League Two side on a month-long loan.

The 20-year-old previously played under newly-appointed Accrington manager John Coleman during a spell with Sligo Rovers.

He told the club's website: "I saw that John and Jimmy [Bell] had got the job at Accrington and I was called in after training at West Ham and they said that John and Jimmy wanted to take me on loan.

"As soon as I found out I was really excited and I wanted to come straight up here because I know that this is a great club with a good history. I'm really happy to be here now.

"The plan is to make an impact and score a few goals and get a few assists to get the club up the table. I've worked with John and Jimmy at Sligo and I have a good relationship with them so I'm really excited to be working with them again."

Accrington face Northampton Town tomorrow.
