West Ham United considering bid for Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins?

West Ham United have reportedly identified Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins as a potential summer transfer target.

While the Hammers are on the brink of finishing in the top seven of the Premier League standings, many supporters will feel like they could have achieved higher had they brought in more competition for Michail Antonio.

However, providing that European football is confirmed for next season, David Moyes is expected to be given the funds to bring in a new frontman.

According to The Guardian, Watkins is very much on his radar, even if the England international would cost in the region of £50m.

Although the 26-year-old has only netted 10 times in 31 top-flight outings this campaign, he remains an integral part of Steven Gerrard's team.

Watkins still has over three years remaining on his contract at Villa Park, leaving the West Midlands outfit in a strong position with regards to his future.
