Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Elye Wahi to West Ham, Devyne Rensch to Everton, and an update on Noah Okafor.

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Marseille's £25m-rated striker Elye Wahi this month.

Wahi has rapidly fallen out of favour at Marseille, following a transfer from Lens over the summer which was already unpopular with the supporters due to the player's links with their bitter rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

The 22-year-old has often found himself down in the pecking order behind Neal Maupay, Jonathan Rowe and the now-injured Faris Moumbagna, starting just seven matches in Ligue 1 so far this season.

talkSPORT claim that West Ham are keeping tabs on the player to potentially bolster a frontline that is struggling with injuries at present under new manager Graham Potter.

Michail Antonio will be out for the foreseeable future after his recent car accident, while Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen will also both be on the sidelines for several weeks.

Fullkrug picked up the injury in Potter's first game in charge at Aston Villa on Friday in the FA Cup, leaving Danny Ings as their only fit striker.

Everton to seal cut-price deal for Rensch?

Meanwhile, Everton have reportedly stated their interest in signing Ajax defender Devyne Rensch before the end of the window, according to Sport Witness.

Rensch, who is still only 21, is out of contract in the summer, and is yet to agree on new terms with the Dutch giants, leaving him free to discuss a potential pre-contract with clubs around Europe.

Ajax director Alex Kroes has admitted that Rensch could leave the club this month instead, so that they can at least recoup some money on the right-back, who looks set to depart anyway in the summer.

Everton are yet to enter the market this January, but following the return of David Moyes as manager, and the recent takeover by the Friedkin Group, new faces will be needed if they are to turn their season around, and move away from the relegation zone.

The defence has been Everton's strong point this season, but full-back remains a problem area on both sides, with first-choice Ashley Young approaching 40, while Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson have played very little football of late.

When fit, Rensch has been a regular in Francesco Farioli's Ajax team, and he also has continental experience, having played 11 Europa League games already this term.

Leipzig to cancel Okafor loan?

Elsewhere on the continent, RB Leipzig are set to cancel the pending transfer of Noah Okafor from AC Milan, after the player failed a medical.

The Swiss attacker was set to move to the Bundesliga club after failing to break into the AC Milan side on a regular basis under both Stefano Pioli and Paulo Fonseca.

It has been another frustrating campaign for the 24-year-old, who is yet to feature under new manager Sergio Conceicao due to injury, and that setback will keep him out for another four weeks.

Therefore, Sky Sport Germany reporter Philipp Hinze has revealed that Leipzig will cancel the six-month loan deal that was in place, because the player is not available immediately.

The Bundesliga resumed after the winter break at the weekend, and with Yussuf Poulsen injured, Marco Rose has only Andre Silva available as backup in attack, and if the club are to bring in a player on loan for the rest of the season, they will want them available to play straight away.
