West Ham United's Mohamed Diame eyes move to top-six Premier League club

Diame wants to join top-six club

West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame has admitted that he is hoping to sign for a top-six club in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has 12 months remaining on his contract, but reports have claimed that the Senegal international has a release clause in the deal.

"I don't want to stop here," Diame told French website Hat-trick. "I still want more. Joining a club from the top six would be a dream come true.

"The Premier League is something unique, you cannot compare it with another league."

Diame was close to joining Liverpool, but his move fell through when manager Kenny Dalglish was sacked and replaced with Brendan Rodgers in 2012.
