Andy Carroll 'close to agreeing six-year deal with West Ham United'

Carroll 'to agree West Ham six-year deal'

Andy Carroll is reportedly poised to agree a six-year deal with West Ham United following weeks of uncertainty.

The 24-year-old is believed to have been stalling on an alleged £15m transfer from Liverpool due to reported wage demands of £100,000 a week.

Despite the Hammers' unwillingness to meet his request, it appears that a compromise has been made as Carroll has told friends that he is close to securing the move, according to the Daily Star.

Carroll was sent out on loan at Upton Park last season following Brendan Rodgers's arrival at Liverpool.
