Team News: Andy Carroll back on bench for West Ham United

Andy Carroll returns to the bench for West Ham United as they take on Southampton.

Andy Carroll has returned to the bench for West Ham United as they take on Southampton at Upton Park tonight.

The forward has missed the last two games with a groin injury but is deemed fit enough to join the substitutes for tonight's encounter, as is Manuel Lanzini.

Manager Slaven Bilic has made two changes to his starting XI from the team that drew 1-1 at Aston Villa on Boxing Day, bringing in Carl Jenkinson and Alex Song for Aaron Cresswell and Pedro Obiang.

For the visitors, there are just two changes as Oriol Romeu comes in for Jordy Clasie and Dusan Tadic replaces James Ward-Prowse.

West Ham United: Adrian, Tomkins, Collins, Ogbonna, Jenkinson, Kouyate, Song, Noble, Antonio, Zarate, Valencia
Subs: Randolph, Oxford, Hendrie, Cullen, Obiang, Lanzini, Carroll

Southampton: Stekelenburg, Martina, Van Dijk, Fonte, Bertrand, Romeu, Wanyama, Mane, Davis, Tadic, Long
Subs: Gazzaniga, Yoshida, Caulker, Clasie, Ward-Prowse, Juanmi, Ramirez
