Sam Allardyce: 'West Ham United not safe from relegation yet'

Sam Allardyce insists that West Ham United are "not out of the woods yet", despite climbing up the Premier League table following a positive run.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce believes that his players still have a long way to go before securing Premier League safety.

The Hammers have been lingering near the bottom of the table, but after a positive run, now find themselves 11th in the standings.

"The basics will always stay the same, but we might have changed the training a bit around this good run - try to take the pressure off, and keep them focused on getting it right in both boxes," West Ham's Twitter page quotes Allardyce as saying.

"We've made great strides and great efforts. Everybody's played their part to try and alleviate the situation we were in, but we're not out of the woods yet."

West Ham will take on Southampton at Upton Park on Saturday.
