West Ham United have announced that defender Winston Reid has undergone a successful operation on his ankle.
The New Zealand international, who suffered the problem during a training session earlier this month, had surgery in a London hospital.
Head of sports science and sports medicine Andy Rolls told the club's official website: "Winston had an operation on his ankle injury to stabilise the joint. This procedure went well. He will now convalesce for a few days before starting his rehabilitation."
The Premier League outfit have stated that they have not set a date on Reid's return to the first team.
