Joey O'Brien: 'West Ham United must stay positive'

Joey O'Brien calls on his West Ham teammates to remain positive following their disappointing start to the season.

West Ham United defender Joey O'Brien has called on his teammates to remain positive following their disappointing start to the season.

The Hammers are currently in 11th place in the Premier League table thanks to two defeats from their opening three games.

However, O'Brien is keen for the squad to remain optimistic as they look for an improvement in form.

"It's only early into the season. It's important we don't lose enthusiasm or lose focus. The end game is to finish in the top ten. We're only three games into a 38-game season," he told the club's official website.

"Our next game is against Hull and we're looking forward to performing against them. It's going to be a big game."

West Ham return to action when they travel to Hull in the Premier League on September 15.
