West Ham United captain Mark Noble has described Dimitri Payet as an "asset" to the club after he scored twice against Newcastle United on Monday night.
The 28-year-old, who moved to Upton Park from Marseille in the summer, was the sole goalscorer in the Hammers' victory over the Magpies on home turf.
"Dimitri showed what an asset he will be to our football club," the Daily Star quotes Noble as saying. "The fans will love him.
"Not only does he create and score goals, but he works hard and plays for the team as well - that's why all the players think so much of him, and you can see the fans do as well."
The result pushed West Ham to fifth in the table, while Newcastle have dropped to the bottom of the standings.
