Nicky Maynard has said that he is confident in his ability to play in the Premier League following his promotion with West Ham United.
Maynard joined the Hammers from Bristol City in January and is determined to prove himself, insisting too that top-flight football was the main reason he moved to East London.
"I wanted to play in the Premier League as quickly as possible," Maynard told London 24. "West Ham came in for me, who were in the Championship at the time, but I knew that they would go into the Premier League.
"It is every English footballer's dream to play in the Premier League and that is the main reason I left Bristol City.
"I believe in my ability and I believe I can do the job."
Maynard scored 45 league goals for Bristol City.
