Jenkinson thrilled by West Ham run

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson has expressed his delight at the team's current unbeaten run in the Premier League.

The high-flying Hammers made it five games without defeat on Saturday as they drew 0-0 at home to Aston Villa.

While praising the side for their improved form and climb up the table, Jenkinson is also happy with the amount of football that he is playing at Upton Park following his loan move from Arsenal in the summer.

"It has been positive and a great run for the team," he told West Ham's official website. "We're unbeaten in five games so that's a good sign of where this club's going, and personally it's the first time I've had a run of games in a couple of years now and I'm really happy with it.

"It was nice to keep a clean sheet on Saturday. I got an assist a couple of weeks ago and I want to add to that. I want to get as near to ten assists as I can this year. It's going to be tough but that's my aim."

West Ham's Premier League campaign resumes on November 22 when they travel to Everton.
