Carl Jenkinson frustrated by West Ham United defeat

Carl Jenkinson describes West Ham's late defeat at Leicester City as "frustrating".

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson has admitted that he is frustrated by the team's 2-1 defeat away to Leicester City.

The Hammers suffered their fourth loss in five Premier League games on Saturday as Andy King's late goal made the difference at the King Power Stadium.

Jenkinson believes that West Ham's lack of finishing in the final third cost them in the end.

"We did well to get back in the game, so to not go on and get the goal to win the game was frustrating," he told the club's official website. "Even then we couldn't keep the ball out of our net and they've gone and nicked one at the death.

"We had quite a lot of chances against Leicester. I had a header not long before they scored and I can think of quite a few across the team. We had the chances, but the ball just didn't want to go in for us in the second half. It's very frustrating, but that's football sometimes."

West Ham continue their league campaign on April 11 when they welcome Stoke City to Upton Park.
