Jussi Jaaskelainen 'frustrated' by defeat

West Ham goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen admits that Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace was "frustrating".

West Ham United goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has admitted that Tuesday's defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League was "frustrating".

The Hammers failed to build on Saturday's 3-0 win over Fulham as they lost 1-0 at Selhurst Park thanks to Marouane Chamakh's first-half goal.

Despite the result, West Ham remain three points clear of the relegation zone.

"We put in a great performance on Saturday and obviously we wanted to build on that and carry on, but it was frustrating on Tuesday because when you go 1-0 down you want to have a good response," Jaaskelainen told the club's official website.

"You can't go 1-0 up in every game so the response is important - we still had 50 minutes to get a goal and then go on to try and win the game but it didn't happen."

West Ham are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they face Liverpool at Anfield.
