Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has announced his retirement from football.
The 35-year-old was recently linked with a move to West Ham United after his contract with Besiktas had expired.
However, the former Spanish international has now told newspaper AS that he failed to agree terms with the Hammers and will now take up a coaching role with Los Blancos.
The former Spanish international joined Besiktas last season following a 15-year stint at the Bernabeu, where he won six La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns.
