Stewart Downing enjoying life at West Ham United

Stewart Downing has revealed that he is "really enjoying" playing for West Ham United after joining the club over the summer.

The 29-year-old winger arrived at Upton Park from Liverpool in August on a four-year deal for around £5m.

Despite the Hammers' inconsistent form in the Premier League this season, Downing admits that he is happy with life in East London.

"I'm really enjoying my football," he told the club's official website. "There was a little bit of an injury at the start, but I'm happy and it has been a good move for me.

"The manager is great to play for and the only thing missing is getting a few wins."

West Ham continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday with a trip to Norwich City.
